City of Chicago - Josh Taylor
Josh Taylor is the pastor at Missio Dei in Chicago, IL, a multi-site church with campuses in the Wicker Park and Wrigleyville neighborhoods. Josh is originally from California, but grew up as a pastor’s kid in churches all over the country. Josh and his wife Aiyana have three children. He likes to spend a free afternoon riding bikes with the fam to get Tastee Freeze. Josh is the Regional Church Planting Director for the city of Chicago.
Over the past two years I have been privileged to watch GOD work mightily in the city of Chicago. We have seen men and women step out in faith to answer the call of the Great Commission. They have submitted their lives to the Lord of the harvest and have sacrificed much to join in with HIS great renewal project in our city. They have moved into neighborhoods to love and serve people that matter to GOD. They have strived to live out the beauty of the Gospel both in word and in deed. In doing so, disciples have been made, baptisms have been celebrated, and new churches are being planted.
While we are ever grateful for the work that is being done by the Spirit in the city, we know that there is still great need. Spiritual, physical and emotional brokenness is all around us. Please continue to pray for us as we labor to see a presence of The Church established in all of 77 neighborhoods that make up our beloved Second City. Our constant and persistent prayer is that ‘His Kingdom would come to Chicago as it is in heaven’.
